How Do I Volunteer with NoVasta?

Step 1: Find Local Partners

Search for nearby partners using the partners of NoVasta chapters below or contact your chapter’s lead. Pick one that’s convenient for you!

Step 2: Contact the Partner

Reach out to your chosen partnership, preferably in person. If that’s not possible, use their online contact. Coordinate a pickup time and confirm the type and amount of food available.

Step 3: Identify a Shelter or Food Program

Choose a nearby shelter, food bank, or local kitchen to donate the rescued food. Check our list of partnered organizations for easy connections.

Step 4: Pick Up the Food

Go to the partner location at the scheduled time. Be sure to introduce yourself as part of NoVasta, be friendly, and thank them for contributing. Handle all food safely and only donate what you would eat yourself!

Step 5: Deliver & Document

Bring the food to your chosen organization. Take a photo of your donation as proof and to celebrate your impact

Step 6: Upload & Log Your Donation

Upload your donation photo to the link provided on our website. Log all donations on the Google form to help us track the collective impact of NoVasta’s network.
